Costume Hire Terms & Conditions
Hiring during Covid-19
All costumes are washed after every used and steam cleaned too. Any costumes that are tried on and not hired will be put to one side for 72 hours before being put back out to hire again. Please note, that if a costume is already reserved and the pick up date is within 72 hours, you will not be able to try it on. Footwear & props will be wiped down accordingly and sprayed with antibacterial spray.
Standard hire period is a maximum of 7 days. Longer hire periods may be discussed beforehand & be subject to additional fees worked out on a percentage basis, but may not be possible if the item has been booked at a later date by another hirer.
Deposits are generally twice the hire cost of the outfit, but may be more for some of the more complex/elaborate costumes. If you pay for the item on a debit or credit card, we can simply retain the card details for security, and will not charge anything unless the item comes back late or damaged. We will ONLY do this on a card that has first cleared payment. We will not retain card details any longer than necessary to comply with current GDPR legislation. Alternatively, deposits can be left in cash, paypal or bank transfer, and will be refunded in the same way it was paid once the item has been returned & checked.
Damage to costumes
Damage to costumes will result in forfeiture of the security deposit. Alterations to costumes will be treated as damage – if a costume needs a temporary alteration, please discuss this beforehand, as we may be able to do this in a way that causes no damage
All costumes are washed after hire. Please do not wash costumes yourself. If the costume has been stained in some way (food, drink, mud etc), please let us know, as we will know the best way to remove the stain & minimise damage.
